Cat Adoption

Everything you need to know about adopting a rescued cat from Cats & Cobie.

We do not charge a fixed adoption fee. However, we ask adopters to make a voluntary contribution towards the cat's rescue and medical costs. This helps us continue our work and rescue more cats.
Our available cats change regularly as rescues arrive and adoptions happen. To see cats currently available, please WhatsApp us on 03164701778 and Kashf will share real-time photos and details.
Typically 5 to 10 days from application to adoption. We take time to ensure every match is right — for the cat and for you. We never rush the process.
Yes. Every cat is fully vaccinated, dewormed, and spayed or neutered before being offered for adoption. You will receive complete medical records with your cat.
Yes, in many cases. We assess each situation individually and match you with a cat whose personality is suited to a multi-pet home. Please mention your other pets in your application.
Yes. We have cats who are wonderful with children of all ages. We will recommend the most suitable cat based on your family situation.
If you are ever unable to keep your adopted cat, please contact us first. We will always take our cats back — no questions asked. We never want a cat to end up on the street again.
We primarily serve Lahore. For adoptions outside the city, please contact us directly on WhatsApp and we will discuss arrangements on a case by case basis.
Cat Fostering

Questions about opening your home to a cat in recovery.

No experience is required. Kashf provides full guidance and training to all foster families. The most important thing is patience, love, and a safe home environment.
Cats & Cobie covers all veterinary costs and provides food and supplies for every foster cat. You provide the home and the love — we handle everything else.
It depends on the cat. Typically between 2 and 8 weeks. Newborns require longer care. We will always discuss the expected duration with you before placing a cat in your home.
Absolutely — and it happens often! We call it a "foster fail" and it is our favourite kind of outcome. Foster families always get first option to adopt their cat before we open the adoption to others.
We assess each case individually. Some foster cats are comfortable around other animals; others need a quieter environment. We will match you with a cat that suits your household.
Donations & Payments

How to donate and what your money supports.

Send your donation via JazzCash or Easypaisa to Cats & Cobie — 03164701778. After sending, take a screenshot and WhatsApp it to us at the same number. Kashf will personally acknowledge your donation within 24 hours.
100% of donations go directly to cat care — veterinary treatment (45%), food and nutrition (25%), rescue operations (20%), and shelter and foster support (10%). We do not spend donations on administration or personal expenses.
There is no minimum. Every rupee makes a difference. PKR 500 feeds a cat for a week. Even the smallest donation is valued and used.
Yes. WhatsApp us on 03164701778 and we will set up a monthly giving arrangement. Monthly donors receive regular updates on how their contributions are being used.
Yes. Once you send your payment screenshot on WhatsApp, Kashf will personally confirm receipt within 24 hours and send you a thank you message.
Cat Sponsorship

Supporting a specific cat's care and recovery.

A donation goes into our general fund for all cats. Sponsorship means you directly cover the costs of one specific cat — their food, vet care, or full rescue — and receive regular personal updates on that cat's progress.
In many cases, yes. WhatsApp us and we will share photos and details of cats currently needing sponsorship. We will do our best to match you with a cat that resonates with you.
Depending on your package — weekly or monthly WhatsApp photos, medical progress reports, and notification when your cat is adopted. Full Rescue sponsors are also featured in our rescue stories.
You will be the first to know. We will send you a message with details of the adoption and, where the family consents, photos of your cat in their new home. It is a wonderful moment.
Volunteer With Us

Questions about joining the Cats & Cobie team.

No formal experience is required for most roles. A genuine love for cats, reliability, and willingness to learn are the most important qualities we look for.
It depends on the role. Some roles (like transport) are as-needed. Others (like social media) can be done at your own pace. We work around your schedule and never pressure volunteers.
Yes — our social media and community outreach roles can be done remotely. Other roles (rescue, transport, fostering) require you to be based in Lahore.
Volunteers must be 18 or older. If you are under 18 and want to help, you are welcome to get involved with parental supervision and consent.

Browse our products on the Shop page, then WhatsApp us the product name and your delivery area in Lahore on 03164701778. We will confirm availability and arrange delivery.
We offer two options: Cash on Delivery (COD) — pay in cash when your order arrives. Or Online Payment — transfer via JazzCash or Easypaisa to Cats & Cobie (03164701778) before delivery and send us your screenshot on WhatsApp.
Currently we deliver within Lahore only. Please contact us on WhatsApp to discuss if you are located outside the city.
Delivery charges may apply depending on your area within Lahore. We will confirm the charge when you place your order via WhatsApp.
Yes. 100% of shop profits go directly into funding our rescue, treatment, and rehoming operations. Shopping with us is a direct act of support for Lahore's street cats.

General questions about Cats & Cobie and our work.

We are based in Lahore, Pakistan. We rescue cats from across the city and operate primarily within Lahore.
Cats & Cobie was founded and is led by Kashf Akhtar, a Lahore-based animal welfare advocate. Kashf personally oversees all rescues, adoptions, and donor communications.
WhatsApp us on 03164701778 with the location and condition of the cat. Include a photo if possible. We respond to every report as quickly as we can.
Yes — we rescue cats of all ages, breeds, and conditions. No cat is turned away based on age, health condition, or how severe their injuries are. We find a way to help every cat we can.
